Not every occasion wants a spectacle. Plenty of the evenings people book a car for are deliberately understated: an anniversary dinner, a theatre night, or simply not wanting to think about parking downtown on a Friday.
For these we would usually put you in a well-presented sedan or SUV rather than anything that announces itself. The chauffeur handles the drop-off at the door and is back at the agreed time without needing to be summoned.
Timing an evening out
Theatre and dinner reservations are the fixed points, so we plan backwards from them and allow for the traffic that particular evening rather than an average. For the return, an approximate time is fine; the car waits rather than leaving, so a leisurely dessert does not become a problem.
